چکیده
This paper presents experimental observations of the nanocrystallization process in materials having Fe–Si (FINEMET), a-Fe (NANOPERM), and a0-FeCo (HITPERM) nanocrystals coupled through an amorphous phase. Crystallization kinetics and chemical partitioning during crystallization are described. Isothermal nanocrystallization is discussed in the framework of the Johnson–Mehl–Avrami–Kolmogorov model and constant heating rate experiments analyzed in the context of the Kissinger model. 2003 Acta Materialia Inc. The development of Fe73.5Si13.5B9Nb3Cu1 ~FINEMET! by Yoshizawa et al. and Fe88Zr7B4Cu1 ~NANOPERM! by Inoue et al. have shown that nanocrystalline microstructures can play an important role in the production of materials with outstanding soft magnetic properties. The FINEMET and NANOPERM materials rely on nanocrystalline a-Fe3Si and a-Fe, respectively, for their soft magnetic properties. The mag...

The soft magnetic nanocrystalline Fe73.5Si13.5B9Cu1Nb3 alloy (FINEMET®) is produced by heat treatment of amorphous precursor. Determining kinetic parameters of amorphous structure transformation to nanocrystalline allows the control of microstructure (e.g. size and volume fraction of nanocrystalline grains) in order to achieve desired soft magnetic properties by optimizing the heat treatment co...

Fe-based metallic glasses such as FINEMET, NANOPERM and HITPERM usually produced from amorphous precursors in various forms have been intensively studied over the past thirty years, because these materials exhibit a unique combination of soft magnetic properties [1], which is very interesting from a scientifi c point of view. The application of these materials at elevated temperatures is determ...
متن کاملMagnetic Properties and Crystallization Kinetics of a Mn-Doped FINEMET Precursor Amorphous Alloy
The kinetics of nanocrystallization of a Mn-doped FINEMET alloy from its amorphous precursor is reported. The alloy studied was of a composition (Fe1 Mn )73 5Nb3CuSi13 5B9 where = 0 05. X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirmed that -FeSi is the product of primary nanocrystallization. Crystallization kinetics were studied using time-dependent magnetization, ( ), as a measure of the volume fraction crys...

Abstract: In this research work, crystallization kinetics of Fe55Cr18Mo7B16C4 alloy was evaluated by X-ray diffraction, TEM observations and differential scanning calorimetric tests. In practice, crystallization and growth mechanisms were investigated using DSC tests in four different heating rates. Results showed that a two -step crystallization process occurred in the alloy in which - Fe phas...
